WANTED

Hello fellow viewers:

Welcome back to another fantastic blog post. So for the last 3 weeks we have been learning about, Polynesians. We also have learnt about an island called Hawaiki. It is an island where some of our ancestors came from, then they went out to voyage to other islands. We had to learn about the Polynesian Navigators, because we had to know how they travelled without any technology. So I have wrote on a wanted poster, so I could get a Navigator because I get lost if I try being one. Even the crew tried, and got us no where but made us surrounded by ferocious sharks. The skills I have put up can be easy to you because you might have more skills hidden in you. So there will lots of upcoming info coming up right after....

So what I have learnt is Hawaiki and how they voyaged for like YEARS!, but also I have learnt that the people that voyaged had to use the stars, birds, clouds, sea currents and swells to guide them to an island. What I found interesting is that I made a wanted poster from scratch, and it was fun to make it. The part that was hard was making a list of what I needed for the Navigators, and how they will help me. I will now show you my work.

Question Time!!!

What Kind Of Food Did The Polynesians Take With Them?🤔

My Adventures🤓 Throughout The Museum

Bonjour fellow viewers,

Welcome back to another looooong and amazing blog post. On Wednesday 4th Nov our class had to the Museum🥳. So we could learn about the history of some gallery's we went to like the Origin Gallery where the Dinos are. What I enjoyed while I was in the Museum is that I got to discover new things I never heard of before. What I learnt is that I got to learn new things because we already new some things about some gallery's but we got to learn more. What I found interesting is that we got to learn and experienced, how the things there actually worked. Like there was an volcano room and the ground shook like an earthquake so that is what I experienced. What I found challenging is that the new things we discovered at the Museum we had to write about it on a google docs. I really enjoyed writing about it.

Hope you enjoy

On a cloudy Wednesday Room 15 was prepared to go out on a trip to the one and only….. Auckland Museum!!!!. We couldn’t just leave yet because The Whole Kauri team had to come. That is of course, Rm 14, Rm,11, and Rm 12. We were put in groups, I was lucky because I got to be with my friend. It was Me=(Daniel), Garv, Mubarak, Robert, Aryan, and Nikhil. We had to put our lunchboxes in one bag and that was pretty hard. We had to remove the things that were inside the bag. Before we left, everyone in my class had to have Morning Tea first. What I had was crunchy rice crackers as my snack. After that the bus was here at about 10:00 Am.

We were ready to go, I was so excited. When we were in our groups we had to get paired up with a partner. My partner was Garv. When we got on the bus and went to our seats. I was lucky because I was  next to the window, and Garv was next to me quite sad. When the bus went off it looked pretty cool cause we were passing some houses and beautiful trees on the way there. The drive was so long that I felt like I was going to sleep but my friend made a joke and made me laugh.

Me and my friend were just making jokes until we arrived. So when the bus had arrived. The Museum was so GIGANTIC!!!!!!! that it looked like standing in front of the Sky tower but the Sky Tower is bigger though. Auckland Museum | Activities & Tours in Auckland, New ZealandIt was so big that I wanted to see it more because I was super duper excited. Everyone got together and sat on the stairs because the hosts of the Museum were going to talk to us. They were greeting us first then telling us they like no eating and no drinking inside the Museum. When the hosts were finished talking that's when our adventure started.

When we went inside it looked so awesome that I felt like going on my own. Garv had to lock up his bag in a cage to keep it secured so no one would have stolen it. We were on the Ground floor and we were about to go to Lvl 1. When we got up the long huge stairs we came across Sir Edmund Hillary the guy who was on the 5$ note, We saw his pickaxe but it was fake anyways.

We went up to the Origin exhibition on floor 1 where the dinosaurs and fossils were. There were dinosaurs with bones, One of the hosts said that the bones aren’t real they are just made out of plastic. We saw the giant Moa, the host said they don’t actually look like that. The fluffy feathers are really Ostrich feathers which completely shocked me. We saw Rajah the Elephant and he was really humongous. Origins - Level one - Auckland War Memorial MuseumThe history of Rajah - Blog - Auckland War Memorial Museum

Land - Level one - Auckland War Memorial Museum

We went into the Land exhibition next, on floor 1. Where the birds, insects and the reptiles. When we were in that place it was really cool because we got to see the eggs of some birds like the Kiwi. We also saw a cave which we went inside and it was really creepy but we saw a slug which looked really yuck. We went out and walked in where the sea creatures were like a ferocious shark. It had really sharp teeth. We were heading out and seeing what we were going to do next.

Next we left to the Volcano exhibition but instead we went inside the

Auckland Museum's Lost Civilisation – EyeContactAncient Worlds on floor 1. We weren't supposed to go in there but we did for a girl in our class (Shamili) It is basically Egyptian stuff like the Mummy which had an Sarcophagus (It's like an Egyptian coffin for the  Royals). We saw the jewels and pots and more and it looked pretty cool.

Volcanoes - Level one - Auckland War Memorial Museum

Finally we arrived at the Volcano exhibition on floor 1. We had seen a big volcano that had like lava coming down, and ash making the clouds grey but it was fake anyways. We saw a rock and it could play music because we had to bang it with a rubber hammer and it was awesome. There was a house and we had to wait in line to go inside because there was something that was going to happen in there. When it was our turn we had gone inside and sat down and the TV just turned automatically. It told us the news about the Volcano under the sea, while they were talking the lights started flickering. Then the ground started to shake and rumble, the signal of the TV turned off. Suddenly it was so dark that it looked like night time already, an explosion had happened and the waves forced towards the house and it cracked the window. The ground shook again and everything went back to normal and we got out and moved on to the next exhibition.Travelogue: Auckland - Jonathan Lee

The next exhibition we went to was the Pacific Life-ways on the ground floor. That’s where some of the Pacific artifacts and old weapons were. We also had seen a huge Canoe

that I felt like hoping on. We saw some paintings like a Tapa Cloth which was awesome because it was made by hand from the Pacifica not only that but the design and the patterns were just so, so coooool. After that we moved on to the next gallery.

The next gallery was the Māori Natural History on floor 1.

Maori-nh 560

That’s where the Māori artifacts were placed and we saw different kinds of objects like wood carvings and more. There were also some birds and insects while at it. There were also some big statues and they were way bigger than you think and they had carvings as well. I was walking around then I noticed that I wasn’t with my group and ended up in another group because so excited I went off. Eventually I got back and we all moved on to the next gallery.

The next exhibition was at the Māori Court on the Ground floor.

We saw a lot of Māori artifacts and much much more we got to see Maori weapons and some gear that helped them arrive in New Zealand in the old days. There were so many artifacts I couldn’t count them all. There was a Marae which some people went inside, but before they went in they had to take their shoes off. I didn’t go in but I did stay outside and saw some really detailed design patterns around the Marae. We saw a big canoe but not only was it really long. It’s because the lots and lots of Māori came on it and they came to

New Zealand 🇳🇿🇳🇿. We had to leave for our last gallery for the day which was really really sad😢. I wanted to see more😢 but I couldn’t.

For the last gallery we went to see was the Pacific Masterpieces.

Pacific Masterpieces gallery

For this gallery we had seen our culture artifacts like there was an

Tongan aisle, Samoan aisle, Fijian aisle, Niuean aisle and much more. For some of them they had like jewels and some of them had like culture clothes and some incredible weapons like spears. There were also some photos of them too and there was the third canoe I had seen and after we had to leave to have some lunch.

So when we had lunch I ate delicious nutella bread and some yogurt. When we finished we got to play on the fields and it was pretty fun. Me and my friends See-me Tauni Mapa were playing catches with a ball. After lunch we had to get ready to say bye to the museum because we had to leave to go back to school. When we got back to school we were playing some Prodigy until we got to go home.

My Unimaginable Thoughts About The Internet As An Adult

Hello fellow bloggers,

Welcome back to another wonderful blog post. I have created another lucid chart which was awesome💯. So what I had to write is that me and my group had to create

My Thoughts About The Internet As An Adult. What I have enjoyed is that I got to write on lucid chart again but only that I liked how I had to write about my thoughts of the internet as an adult. What I learnt is that the internet is hard to get because you don't get it for free you have to pay for it. What I found interesting is that I got to find more about the internet so I got write some more information. What I found challenging is that I had to read this article which was really hard and to loooooooong.

Here is an example.

Incredible Maori Games You Can Learn From 💯💯

Hello fellow viewers,

Welcome back to another incredible blog post. Today I have worked on my reading and it was really awesome because I used lucid chart once again. Which was really really mind blowing🤯🤯 (Boom). I read a book called Maori Games which told us that when there were no technology. There were wicked outdoors and indoor games that they have played like wrestling and acrobatics and others. I had to gather my information🧐 and write on my lucid chart. What I enjoyed is that I got to use the same app I used and that was really super duper cool. What I have learnt is that when there is nothing to do you can do other things. What I found interesting is that I got to learn that you don't need the internet sometimes because you outside to play. What I found hard is that I had to get information of of that book because there some tricky Maori words to pronounce.

1 Day Of My Fantastic Loooong Weekend

Hello fellow bloggers,

Welcome back to another blog post. This week I have written an amazing recount about my long weekend because we had four days of weekend. We started of on Friday because it was teacher only day and we had come on Tuesday because Monday was an Public holiday. So what I enjoyed is that I got to spend a really long weekend and got to wrote about it. What I learnt is that I got write about what I did over my long weekend. What I found interesting is that I got to write what I did fun. What I found challenging is that I only had to write about ONE DAY only which was pretty hard.

Here Is An Example.

1 Day Of My Loooong Weekend During my long weekend I have done some really fun stuff. To start off I woke up on a marvelous Sunday morning sun shining from the window. It was so hot that I went to go outside on the front porch, to get some fresh cool air to cool me down. After I went to play in the huge green backyard with my brothers. What we did was really incredible because our father had created a bow and arrow which was awesome. When I got a turn I got the arrow and pulled it back on the string. Like I was playing tug of war. Then the string kinda broke somehow but then I thought to myself “Who Broke It?????”. While that was happening our dad got asked if we wanted to go to the swimming pool. We went to go pack our togs. We went to Cameron Pools. It was really cool because there was hardly anyone there so we just jumped right in. The pool was really big, but the thing is that There were lanes which were boring so we had to go on one side. When I went in the water I was so cold that I felt like I was going to FREEZE!!. In the meantime I was diving and running around the pool. I freaked out because there were rules and some of them were like No Diving No Bombing No Running around the pool. I was lucky cause no one noticed. My brothers came in and felt the same feeling I had When I came in. later on my brother sneaked behind me and lifted me up, threw me back and I felt like I was going to drown. Heaps of water went inside my mouth. Eventually I got back up and kept sneezing and coughing so I had to get out of the pool for a while. That was fun but cruel at the same time. My mum was in the spa and my dad just sat there watching us swimming. The pool was so light blue and pretty shiny too. I tried to swim like a dog but I kept failing and like sinking down in the water. Then I went to see how long I could hold my breath under water and the time I had was at least 40-35= and that was probably the best time I had. We had to at least swim for 1 hour. 1 hour had passed and we got changed and went back home refreshed. We had played outside because we were waiting for our BBQ to finish. It had pork lamb sausages and it was looking really good and it smelt like that I wanted to eat it already. When we ate it tasted really fabulous and the juicy grease from the pork spreading around everywhere in my mouth. But it was better with ketchup. After dinner I was stuffed so I went to bed afterwards and had a peaceful sleep. I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night thinking if I had a nightmare but I eventually went back to sleep afterwards.

My Thrilling Holiday

Hello fellow bloggers,

Welcome back to another blog post. So for our Literacy we had to write a recount of our marvelous holiday. What I enjoyed is that, I got to write what I did during the holidays and transferred it to my google docs. What learnt during my writing is that I got to write more then 1 or 2 ideas. What I found interesting is that I got to discover more things over the holiday. What I found Hard is that I had to write lots lots of ideas on my google docs.

Here Is An Example.

My Thrilling Holiday

Throughout the time of my holiday, it’s been really epic. So during the first week it was really fun because me and my brothers were growing some plants in our backyard. First, we had breakfast and we had McDonald's and I had a Quarter Pounder with small fries and a fresh cool coke. I was quite jealous inside because my mum had like two burgers. Then after we went outside to do some planting.

I think we only used a hoe and a trowel but mostly we used our hands. The plants we grew were like Tomatoes, Corn, Spring Onion, Watermelon, Chilli and those plants were the only ones I could remember. After that we dug a hole and got my brother's golf ball, and got any stick We could possibly find.

I found an ordinary small skinny type of stick while my brothers got thick big ones which wasn’t that fair I guess :( . After everything we went back inside thy house and took a nice fresh bath. For dinner we had food. We relaxed after and took a nice cool nap.

The next day it was raining so we didn’t need to water the plants, but at the same time I went back to bed. I slept for about 2 and a half hours, and when I woke up I was sweating all of a sudden.

As soon as I noticed I opened thy curtains again, and it was the shining sunlight coming through that made it really hot. Also I was wearing probably 2 to 3 shirts and a jumper, and took them off and wore a singlet which made it pretty cool.

I played a game named (Amoung Us) it’s probably known around the country. It’s about like when there is either an imposter or a crewmate. The game is like an animated kind of game. So there is like a 5% chance you could be an imposter and 95% to be a crew mate because the game picks what you are.

So after I played thy game I went out to eat some food which was some luxurious bread, bread and more importantly….. More Bread. Later then I went to see what my brothers were doing.

As soon as I went to their room they said “GET OUT”. That was pretty sad so I went to sleep at about 7:00 o’clock at night. So when I woke up, it was like the MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!.

I went back to sleep after that cause it was really creepy and spooked me out. I tried to sleep but I kept hearing heavy breathing, and when I looked at the other side. It was just my brother snoring. So I slept peacefully afterwards.

On the next week, it was Monday 5th of October and according to my calculations it was my………… MOTHER’S BIRTHDAY. First our auntie and uncle dropped our cousin.

She was only like 4 years old. Now for the interesting part… So for dinner we had a big feast when even though there were only 7 of us Me, two bros, mom, dad, cousin, and uncle. We had like Pizza, Chicken, Beef, Cassava, Seaweed, Fish (Sashimi) with soy sauce, and more.

The dessert was a bit too much because we like 3 whole large cakes,

an exquisite chocolate cake, another chocolate cake but with a frosting delightful, it included some flour sugar peanut butter and cream mixed together with a mixer.

Thy last cake was a fruity flavour one that was probably the best of the best cakes i've ever had. It was a Feijoa cake because it was so incredible with thy texture inside of it. It kinda likes to make you want more, so I had to have another one and another one.

So my stomach was so full I felt like vomiting but all of a sudden but eventually I drank water and burped everything out. It felt good because I thought I had the loudest one but then I heard a humongous burp and it came from my Mum. I was laughing at the same time though, afterwards I went to bed cause I was stuffed with a lot of food. I slept really peacefully again as usuals.

On the next day it was a fine day birds chirping the sun shining on me and it was time for me to either choose to watch T.V or video games, but I chose T.V cause it was like the closest thing for me to do anyways.

I watched some Spongebob and it was pretty comfortable where I sat cause I was on the couch and I was quite comfy cause I had my blanket wrapped around me. After that I went to go have some yummy breakfast. I had some toast and my mum cooked us some yummy delicious scrambled eggs for us.

After that I ate. I went to go outside for a play with my brothers because I saw them playing so I joined them. They didn’t accept me to their game, I was so sad then. It was ok because I just went on the swing that was on the tree.

Basically it was made on the top branch which my dad climbed to the top. Everytime our family comes they always go on the swing because it's really fun. So when I went back inside I went to clean myself because I was on the dirt. I went for a nap after.

By the time I woke up it felt like it was night time, but when I opened up the curtains it was so bright and so shiny, I went back to sleep. So on the next day it was like raining outside and it was super duper cold, I got up and went to find a jumper to wear cause it was like raining so hard that it splashed everywhere outside 4 days have past and we had to get ready for Term 4.

How To Play An INCREDIBLE Game Called Ki-o-Rahi

Hello fellow bloggers,

Welcome back to another blog post, so this week I have been learning of how to play this SUPER FUN! game called Ki-o-Rahi. So this game is based on a book or story I read called {Rahi And The Patupaierehe}. It is when someone called Rahi that had to try and save his wife Ti ara. That was carried away by the Patupaierehe which is fairy people that live in the forest. After I had read the book, I had to create an google draw about how to play

Ki-o-rahi. It is also previously based at the end of the book were the Patupaierehe and rahi made peace and became friends then they invented and created the one and only game Kio-o-rahi. What I have learnt is that some Maori legends can be true like Rahi and the Patupaierehe crated Kio-o-rahi. What I enjoyed is that I got to learn the back story of Kio-o-rahi. What I found hard is that, I had to find out the rules and how to played the game Ki-o-rahi. My next learning steps could be that I could read more Maori legends, so Rahi And The Patupaierehe is not the only one iv'e done.

Here is an example.

Hope You Enjoy And Have Fun Playing The Game!!.
